We are looking for a Graduate Software Engineer to join our growing Software team and develop exciting new capabilities for our products. We believe great engineers are not only creative, motivated and ingenious but enjoy understanding and solving our customers’ problems. Your skills will contribute to the design, development and implementation of our products. As in any small business, you will get involved in many different aspects of work and you will work with others to make lasting improvements across the business.

Your success will be seen in delivering exciting new software features that have demonstrable impact for our customers and the business as part of a team. You will also demonstrate our empathetic & supportive, straightforward, innovative and motivated values.

Responsibilities

  • Working primarily in C#, develop new and creative software to further add to our electronics testing suite of tools
  • Continuously improve the quality of our software through automated testing, peer reviews and customer feedback
  • Work in an adaptable team which works on all stages of the software development process from research and proof-of-concepts all the way through to customer support
  • Take ownership of your software development, ensuring that your features are specified thoroughly, developed on time and tested appropriately

Requirements

  • Some demonstrable programming experience, either from personal projects or previous work
  • An enthusiasm to learn and pick up new skills quickly
  • Ability to manage your own time and priorities in a rapidly-changing environment
  • Clear, proactive communication with your colleagues to ensure projects are managed efficiently
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an inquisitive approach to new technologies
  • Awareness of digital electronics and how it is tested is an advantage, but not essential
  • Permission to work in the UK
