We are looking for a web developer with experience in HTML and PHP to develop, maintain and continuously improve XJTAG’s online presence who will work closely with both our software and marketing teams. We believe a successful web developer will work to understand their users, their needs and the context of the industry they are working in. As in any small business, you will get involved in many different aspects of work and you will work with others to make lasting improvements across the business.

Your success will be seen in the functionality and performance of our website as well as our wider online presence and the measurable impact this has on traffic, enquiries and feedback. Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of implementing the design to create a attention-grabbing, functional and performant website that showcases XJTAG
  • Contribute to the design of our online presence, working closely with our designer and understanding the wider business requirements and needs of other teams
  • Follow an interaction design process, from discovering user needs through to deployment and maintenance to produce an online presence with measurable value
  • Automate and streamline customer journeys by helping to continuously improve our processes as well as connecting incoming data to our CRM and other tools

Requirements

  • Experience of both frontend and backend web development using HTML, CSS and PHP
  • Knowledge of WordPress custom themes and plugins
  • Awareness of schema markup and SEO
  • Familiarity with Google tag manager, GA4 and analysis of web traffic and interactions
  • Ability to plan and manage your own time, projects and deliveries and to communicate clearly with other team members
  • Preferably an interest in web, graphic or UX design
  • Ability to collect, analyse and develop solutions to varied requirements from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Permission to work in the UK
