Cambridge, UK, 17 February 2014 — Visit XJTAG stand 4-40 at this year’s National Electronics Week in Johannesburg to book your place in a series of introductory and advanced workshops, in partnership with South African distributor, ASIC Design Services.
The National Electronics Week exhibition will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg on 11-12 March.
The hands-on introductory workshop provides a comprehensive overview to JTAG boundary scan and the IEEE 1149.x standard. The one-day sessions will take place on 19 and 21 May in Midrand, and are of particular interest to engineers in design, development, test and production.
As chip and board geometries continue to shrink, working at higher speeds and greater densities, traditional test technology falls short in terms of access and coverage. XJTAG boundary scan provides a cost-effective, non-intrusive test solution that pushes beyond these limitations.
See how boundary scan can be used from start to finish, both to improve designs and reduce respins as well as to enhance test coverage, fault diagnosis and production yields on complex BGA-populated circuits. XJTAG’s workshop leaders will also cover how to test non-JTAG devices using boundary scan.
An advanced workshop for those already familiar with boundary scan will also be held on 23 May to provide a more in-depth look at JTAG and its additional capabilities, including an exploration of XJTAG’s powerful XJEase programming language.
XJTAG saves you time and money during board development by allowing early creation of reconfigurable test scripts that can be used throughout the whole of production. ‘The workshops are an ideal opportunity for engineers involved in design and manufacture to discover how using XJTAG can speed up the process of debugging and testing their boards throughout the product lifecycle,’ says Simon Payne, CEO XJTAG.
