- XJTAG enters alliance with one of Europe’s leading distributors of embedded software.
- Combining XJTAG with Logic’s expertise opens exciting opportunities for the Benelux market.
Cambridge, England, March 30, 2011 — XJTAG today announced a new agreement with Logic Technology, a European market leader in the provision of embedded software and test tools. They have a well-established base in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
“The new distribution partnership with Logic Technology is an exceptional opportunity to develop our presence in the Benelux and create a long term, mutually successful relationship.” commented Simon Payne, CEO, XJTAG. “Logic will extend the distribution of XJTAG’s highly sought after boundary scan tools. XJTAG is looking forward to working closely with Logic Technology.”
Logic Technology works from an all-inclusive concept, which encompasses high-quality products, support and consultancy services. Aside from Test and Debug tools, their product list includes off-the-shelf CPU Modules and Embedded Software components. Logic’s strengths are complementary to XJTAG’s and together they form a highly effective distributor alliance.
“We are delighted to announce this new partnership with XJTAG,” commented Leon Houwen, Managing Director of Logic Technology. “We carefully select partners, favouring those that are renowned as software and tool specialists. It was under these considerations that we chose XJTAG. We are pleased to provide their leading boundary scan system, alongside our other products, to bring value to existing or potential users of boundary scan technology.”
This announcement closely follows the release of XJTAG version 2.5, which now includes a free Layout Viewer. The XJTAG Layout Viewer helps to shorten and simplify the design/debug process because engineers can immediately visualise a fault in a board, without needing to open additional software or having to go back to the board designer for assistance. XJTAG v.2.5 is available from Logic Technology throughout the Benelux region.

About XJTAG (www.xjtag.com)
XJTAG is a leading supplier of IEEE Std. 1149.1 compliant boundary scan development tools. Its JTAG (Joint Test Action Group) development system offers a highly competitive solution for designers and developers of electronic circuits. Utilising XJTAG allows the circuit development and prototyping process to be shortened significantly by facilitating early test development, early design validation, fast development of functional tests and test re-use across circuits that use the same devices. XJTAG is based in Cambridge, UK, and is part of the Cambridge Technology Group.
XJTAG was the first boundary scan solution to offer a common platform for use by design and development engineers, test engineers, contract manufacturers and field test engineers, providing testing of not only JTAG-enabled devices but non-JTAG devices as well.
