Imagination Technologies’ IMGworks group의 VP Engineering 부서에서 근무하는 Mark Dunn은 “우리는 socket-based testing 에서 boundary scan based system으로 옮겨 가야 할 필요성을 인식했다. 그리고, 우리가 찾고 있던 기능과 사용 편리성을 제공하는 유일한 system은 XJTAG이란 것을 알게 되었다. Socket-based test에서 test 수행에 1시간 이상 소요되었던 것을 XJTAG을 사용함으로써 test 수행 시간이 약 10분으로 줄었고, 그 test에서 assembly 결함 대부분 걸러낼 수 있었습니다.
